Is a Weight Loss Diet Menu Hard to Design?
A weight loss diet menu is something that can send shivers down most regular people. The reason for this is quite understandable: Any time anyone hears “weight loss” and “diet” in the same sentence, it is usually followed by a list of all the food that they can’t or shouldn’t eat. That said, you might be wondering if this is something that is difficult or time consuming to put together, and if it lacks things like taste for instance.
One thing to consider is that first and foremost, you’re doing this to be able to be healthier and lose weight. As such, a weight loss diet menu is not a bad idea. The key here is to first understand more about your body and the various foods you have access to. Remember, that just because a book says you should drink lemon juice for 7 days doesn’t mean you should! The key to remember is that you need to have foods that you like and will eat but that will also aid your body in shedding your weight.
Weight Loss Diet Menu: Know Thyself!
You may recall that one of the first things I challenged you to do is know your body before starting to create a weight loss diet menu. This is the most important thing to do first. Without this, your progress may well be non-existent, or at the very least it will be slower than it could be. The best way to do this twofold: First, you’ll want to monitor what you eat for a week or so, and take note of when you feel energetic and when you feel lousy after eating. You can also get a test done that will show you exactly the foods that cause issues and my be preventing you from losing weight.
Depending on the results, you may be quite dismayed to see the list of things you can’t have. But fear not! There are always relatively inexpensive alternatives. I for one, recently found out that I can’t have regular dairy, but that soy, rice and goat’s milk/cheese were fine. So I made a small change: I bought rice milk, and start to feel better already.

The key thing to remember about a weight loss diet menu is that you make changes gradually and design your menu as you go along. Unfortunately, eating healthy does cost more than a “regular” diet, but the results are worth it. Just do things over time and really see not only what works but also what you like. There’s no reason you can’t fit it in the budget and enjoy it at the same time, because once you find foods you like, the notion of “sticking with” a weight loss diet menu goes away and it just becomes your natural diet.
